Educational Scholarships-
Many victims of domestic violence don’t leave violent situations because they can not afford to support their self and their children. Often times, once a victim leaves they will go into a shelter if they don’t have enough finances for housings and expenses. The shelters and safe havens are wonderful blessings to those who are in need of accommodations but eventually the victim will have to become financially self sufficient.
We offer education scholarships for higher education to victims of DV, to help propel them into a higher level in the workforce and become self sufficient and an independent resident. Education inspires hope and a future!
Offering educational scholarships is the main program of our organization. KennedyFoundation.Net, Inc. is the first of it's kind to offer educational scholarships for higher learning specifically to domestic violence victims!
(Current victim eligibility: Maryland, Washington, DC Metropolitan area.)
Empowerment Workshops and Spiritual Seminars-
Victims of DV, many times, remain in abusive relationships because they don’t feel they have the emotional and mental strength to leave. Spirituality is also a reason victims remain in abusive situations, some think that God will punish them.
We offer empowerment workshops and spiritual seminars to motivate victims to make better choices for their lives. When one finds their own inner strength, through Christ, all things are possible. Our seminars and workshops will help develop victims' own belief of self worth, they will be inspired to know their value and expect the RESPECT and LOVE they deserve. We will impart positive thoughts and information to serve the spirit, mind and body. “What ever has your mind has you!”
We offer spiritual and biblical teachings that will develop and/or strengthen the spirit. As we all have a spirit, we also must learn to listen to that spirit. Although God is love and He created marriage, as a love relationship, He also did not intend for anyone to be abused or live a lifetime of abuse. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind. 2 Timonthy, 1:7
"What Ever Has Your Mind, Has You!" Receive and embrace positivity, rebuke negativity; become an Overcomer!
"Shadow the Leader" - Career Exposure-
Our “Shadow the Leader” program will introduce victims of DV and their children to a variety of careers and industries. We will take them into the workforce to be mentored by a workplace "leader" and to experience the important roles, duties, and environments in a range of jobs. Our community/business relationships will be utilized to enlighten and encourage victims to pursue what ever career they’d like.
